Get Moving With Our New Music Workout Playlist
Most of us could use more motivation when it comes to working out, whatever that looks like for you. Sometimes music is the coach or cheerleader we need and the right songs can make or break a workout.
Research has found that “music distracts people from pain and fatigue, elevates mood, increases endurance, reduces perceived effort and may even promote metabolic efficiency.” If you’ve ever killed a workout thanks to The Beastie Boys, Lady Gaga or perhaps a fave Broadway tune—“Defying Gravity” is just as magical when cycling your heart out—you know what those researchers mean.
We all have our go-to tunes for getting moving, but it’s good to mix it up and find newer songs too.
On that note—pun unintended—here’s our workout playlist that includes some recent hits from the past year or so to this month. Whether you want to dance, run, weight train (hello, Wonder Woman Theme) or “SWERLK—swirl it, twirl it, twerk it, swerve,” you’ll find jams on this list to get you going. Perhaps you’ll even find some tracks to add to your own workout playlist.
